Welcome! I’m sure there are still many people don’t know what and where is Krung Thep. But when I say “Bangkok”, you all will be “oh yeah” Bangkok. One thing I still don’t get is, I realize not so many people know that Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand. But that might be because Thailand is such a small country. With that I totally agree. But this same small country is rich of beautiful culture, peace, fun and beauty. Well for the peace one is not really true now, since the political situation right now.

The word “Krung Thep” is the Thai name for Bangkok which literally means “City of Angels”. Pretty, right? But Krung Thep right now is not so pretty as it was before. Bangkok is the biggest and the most populous city of Thailand. There are like 10 million people living in this little city. Imagine how crowded it is.  

Good thing about living in Bangkok or I believe in any big city in the world is that you have pretty much everything provided. There are always things for you to do and you will never get bored. But the better it is become comparing to the other provinces, the more and more people want to come to the city. So the only bad thing in my opinion about Krung Thep is that it is over populated with people, not angels.

If you get a chance to visit Bangkok, don’t forget to go visit our Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, the Buddhist temple located in the Grand Palace. These two places are a must to visit. But if this is not your first time anymore, Bangkok is just another big city that is full of clubs, restaurant, shopping malls, all those things that you can find anywhere in the world. However, what is so special and makes this city distinctive to the other big cities is the people. And nothing to tell you much about that, you just have to experience that yourself and you will understand.

Who haven’t heard of this name before? These islands are among the most of all breathtakingly beautiful islands of the world. And Phi Phi island or Mu Koh Phi Phi is one of the very most popular tourist attractions in Thailand. You might have seen one of the island in Phi Phi islands in one famous Movie starred by Leonardo Di Caprio, “The Beach”. And who disagree that this island is one hell of a gorgeous island.

The Islands are about 40 kilometers from Krabi and Phuket, provinces in the very South of Thailand. A lot of tourists misunderstand that Mu Koh Phi Phi is a part of Phuket province. Actually they are in Krabi.

The islands and the coastal hills are composed of limestone or sandstone. That explains why the mountains on the islands or in this area are quite steep and have a lot of large caves.

The attractions of the islands are the two islets called Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Le.

You can go to Phi Phi Islands from Krabi or Phuket either way. There is a one-day trip on speedboat available and very convenient with a very good deal of price including lunch.
